Welcome
We are pleased to welcome you, on behalf of the Leadership of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), to the 2026 Strategic Board Retreat at the ISIMI Lagos Resort.
This retreat provides an opportunity to step away from your daily responsibilities and focus on the strategic issues that will shape the future of the Commission and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Industry.
Over the next three days, we will engage in meaningful discussions, review our progress, explore emerging opportunities and challenges, and strengthen our collective commitment to delivering regulatory excellence in line with our strategic objectives.
The programme will cover salient topics in the industry including the FGN's Vision for the Upstream Petroleum Sector, the Commission's Mandate under the PIA, Licensing Rounds, Energy Transition amongst others. Experienced panelists will engage in panel sessions that will stimulate thought, enlighten and bring a variety of perspectives to the challenges and prospects in the industry.
Planned activities include visits to the Dangote Refinery and the Lekki Deep Sea Port — exciting highlights during the Retreat. Beyond the formal sessions, we encourage you to take advantage of the relaxed environment to savor nature, build stronger relationships, exchange ideas, and enjoy valuable networking with colleagues.
Your active participation and insights will be instrumental in ensuring the success of this retreat. We wish you a productive, engaging, and memorable experience.
Warm regards,
Retreat Planning Committee
